Attaching the personality to what we stand against is easy; much harder to stand for something.

Life without a reason, a purpose, a position... the mind is frightened of this because then "my life" is over with, and life lives itself and moves from itself in a totally different dimension. This way of living is just life moving. That's all.

-Adyashanti

You have an image of yourself and if you don't live according to that image you are frightened. That is one of the fears, isn't it?

-Jiddu Krishnamurti

If it weren't for the ego, none of us would be here. We don't need to get overly concerned with the ego, since it is a process of safety and development. Now, we look to the underlying nature and know that to be true security. The ego is no longer serving its purpose, and so we have to let it go.

Consciousness is non-judgmental. So whenever you start judging, remember, it is the mind. Whenever you start judging, remember, it is your conditioning, and your conditioning is not very mature.

~ Osho

Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny. He has something to fulfill, some message has to be delivered, some work has to be completed. You are not here accidentall, you are here meaningfully. There is a purpose behind you. The whole intends to do something through you. (Osho)

One should remain firm in the conviction `I am the Self ' and reject all thoughts like `I am this body' and `This world is real'. If one maintains this habit unremittingly, this false belief will drop away even as a flower held in the hand slips away when one falls into deep slumber.

~ Ribhu Gita (Ch.37, v.33)

When you are not rushing anywhere and your inner being is just still, herenow, God reflects. Then all chaos disappears, all questions disappear.

― Osho

Why do you want to read others' books when there is the book of yourself?

― Jiddu Krishnamurti

Observe the way your mind moves, works, without having any preconceived ideas about it. A moment will come when you discover yourself to be the witness. Subsequently, when all striving has left you, you will realise that you are the light shining beyond the observer. Reality is neither a product of the mind nor the reuslt of a whole train of thoughts, it just is. The only methodwe can suggest is to observe impartially the way in which your mind reacts in the different circumstances of everyday life.

― Jean Klein

Make a place to sit down.
Sit down. Be quiet.

You must depend upon affection,
reading, knowledge, skill— more of each
than you have— inspiration,
work, growing older, patience,
for patience joins time to eternity.

Any readers who like your work,
doubt their judgment.

Breathe with unconditional breath
the unconditioned air.
Shun electric wire.

Communicate slowly.

Live a three-dimensioned life;
stay away from screens.
Stay away from anything
that obscures the place it is in.

There are no unsacred places;
There are only sacred places
And desecrated places.

Accept what comes from silence.
Make the best you can of it.

Of the little words that come
out of the silence, like prayers
prayed back to the one who prays,
make a poem that does not disturb
the silence from which it came.

~~Wendell Berry from “How to Be a Poet”

*♥* Heart vs Mind *♥*

The heart listens differently than the mind. The heart senses truth and feels love, compassion, and empathy. The mind is used to equate, process logic, and sometimes problem-solve.
Use discernment and assess carefully in every circumstance
you encounter which one will better serve you and others.
Making conscious, responsible choices is a very good thing. ♥

Be aware whatsoever you are doing.

― Osho
