In
meditation, one of the most important aspects is breathing. There is
nearly always the focus on the inhale and exhale of breath because
breathing is a link/connection between the conscious and unconscious
mind. It is also the link between the mind and body, and is THE only
voluntary function in the body that can influence the involuntary
nervous system.
Do you think about breathing throughout your
day or when sleeping? Most likely not, but you continue to do it. Even
in its' involuntary state does the breath provide us life, and by
bringing awareness to the breath it can bring you back to the present
moment.
The only time you ever have is Now, you can not
physically live in the past, and we never know what future may bring. If
you have reoccurring 'life movies' playing in your mind and feel as
though you can not stop them, concentrate on the breath, observe your
thoughts, and release. Much peace. ~ Expanded Consciousness
Choicelessness is the alchemy of
transformation, of inner mutation. A new being is born who has nothing
to do with the past, who is absolutely discontinuous with the past. He
has no desire. And when there is no desire, for the first time you live.

We accept, we are gullible, we are greedy for
new experiences. People swallow what is said by anybody with a beard,
with promises, saying you will have a marvellous experience if you do
certain things! I think one has to say: "I know nothing." Obviously I
can't rely on others. If there were no books, no gurus, what would you
do?
